The Visual Asylum is a small production company based in Sydney, who simply love video content. Committed to the Asylum are co-founders Luke Banfield and Henry Gaunt, their 30 years experience in advertising and corporate content allows them to lead their team in creating compelling and engaging content.
We’re storytellers, and through writing, creative direction, filming, motion graphics and editing we create evoking content that brings your brand’s personality and values to life.

Writing / Creative Direction
We love joining a production on the ground floor and with our writing and creative direction dexterity we can do just that. Whether it’s online content, a campaign, or a corporate video – helping you write a succinct script, or dream up a visual direction is where we’re at home.
Once you have your creative vision, you need to know how to pull all the elements together. From locations and talent to voiceover and travel arrangements, we know it all and can keep budgets, timelines and deliverables under control.
Stunning visuals and moving stories are seldom created by accident. It takes a special mix of geeky gear knowledge and aesthetic obsession to make the picture tell a thousand words, both of which we hold in spades.
Editing / Motion Graphics
With all your precious pixels captured, the butchering begins and there will be blood; as we cut, trim, and shave your footage into a coherent and engaging piece. Just as important are the graphics, whether it’s the finishing touches or an entirely animated piece, the job is complex but we are experts.
